A good start

One Metre Racing – In Fresh SW Winds

8 sailors turned out to enjoy racing in fresh southerly/southwesterly winds and very mild conditions.  As hoped, the rain kept at bay for all but a drizzly 10 minutes.

It was a great morning of racing with B/Working rigs, spiders and cobwebs blowing in all directions.  Phil Udall brought Brian Wade down to the Lake for a bit of spectating and Maurice Clayton brought some family down to watch for a little while.  Colin Salter was also there, whetting his appetite to buy a One Metre.  He has a DF65, but no IOM, so if anyone knows of a competitive club level Boat available to buy, let him know.  His email is in the Sail Section distribution.

Hold your breath – fast moving!

So that’s it for Christmas.  A very Happy Christmas everyone.  There will be racing on Wednesday 28 and Friday 30 December, then Marbleheads on New Years Day.
