If you are interested in finding out more about radio yacht racing, just come down to Lakeside, on one of our sailing days, and say,”Hello”. Even better, contact us by email, so that we can make arrangements for your first visit to Lakeside, and to welcome you properly. The best day is a Wednesday, since it is a more relaxed day, and members will have more time for you. However, if that isn’t possible, we would arrange for you to visit on a Friday or Sunday, but would ask you to be aware that members will also be focused on their racing!
Email John Arrow, who is the Sail Commodore/Sail Secretary on:
Our Twitter Account is: @radioyachting
John, or a member of the Sail Committee will reply to your email, and if he can’t make arrangements, for any reason, he will make sure someone looks after you. If you would like to discuss anything on the telephone, then he will give you a number and a convenient time to call.
Where are We
Our Racing Control Area is to be found in Google Maps, within Lakeside Country Park. The entrance to Lakeside is about 200 Metres beyond the Eastleigh Model Railway station.
Because of the recent building works, the entrance to the Park is still a bit messy. We meet at the entrance and enter in a ‘car convoy’ at around 09:15, and lock the gate at 09:30 After that time, access is only available on foot, a walk of about 600 metres.
